Concentration is essential for human beings. Any activity you want to do you need it. But a lot of people complain that they don’t have concentration. They can do some activities without pay attention to everything around them. But many people don’t know that this capacity can be improved if you train. Many students make some mistakes when they are studying. they can’t concentrate on the contents for a long time. Then how can you solve this? let’s think about it.

 

Counting

 

You can take one book and count the words from a page. Count two times to confirm the total. If you are distracted by something you have to start again. Because now it’s your time to think. Counting number is a good thing too. Try to count skipping some numbers. For example, you can count until 100 skipping the numbers 3 and 6. Every time that this number appears you skip. Or you can count from 100 to 1.

 

Describing

You can take one fruit and start to observe it. At this moment you have to look only at the fruit. Try to feel the sensation to carry it on your hands, smell it, the shape. Don’t think about the place you bought, the nutrition, or the place that is the tree. Think only the fruit for three minuts. After you can eat and think about the sensation of the fruit in your mouth until the moment you swallow. if you could pay attention to these things you are improving your concentration. This exercise can be used for food too. Or you can read a book, watch a movie and after you write or tells to someone.

 

Imagination

try to imagine a place that you would like to be or food that you would like to eat. the first step for this exercise is to imagine the food for example. You have to think about the food, the taste, the smell. Do this fr two minutes. After you close your eyes if you can see clearly the food you can open your eyes and look at the table to imagine the food there.

 

Draw

Take one piece of paper and start with the shapes, triangles, circles, rectangles,s, and others. after you draw you can paint. concentrate on your paint. Take care with the border. You have to concentrate on your exercise. don’t look around the image that you are drawing is more important.

 

Can you think anything?

Think nothing is the hardest exercise you can do. you would be able to do if you could do the previous exercises that you saw above. Try to empty your mind. Take a relaxing song and sit in your room, stay in silence. if someone opens the door you can’t turn to see. If they insist in talk to you don’t move. They will see that you are doing something. You can close your eyes to do this exercise. take 10 minutes for this exercise.

You can find a lot of exercises from videos on youtube. There are a lot of exercises that you can do in silence. Find videos ready for your exercises. One of them is ready to you do. Or you can do one circle on white paper with a point in the center. You have to look at the point in the center until the lines of the circle disappear.

Distractive things

Take a paper next to you when you are studying. After that, you have to note everything that takes your concentration. after that you can remove all the things that can take your concentration.

 

Games

Do you remember when you were a child and your mom gave to you a memory game. Then that kind of exercise is so good for you brain your brain for concentration. You can find it in the supermarket, bookstores, Internet, you can produce your memory cards with elements from your course. all these things can help you to concentrate when you are studyng. Sudoku, crosswords, dominoes, puzzle, and more. These games may be can make you remember your childhood but they are excellent for your concentration.

You can download some apps to train your concentration. For example, there are many options that if you can’t concentrate you have a punishment. Try to change the side of your computer’s mouse to train your brain for different things. you will realize that you need more concentration in the first few days.

 

Hands

Try to use your hand to improve your concentration. If you are right-handed try to do some simple tasks with your left-handed. imagine you brushing your teeth with the that you don’t use to do! Or take the mug with this hand! you will see that is hard but if you do this exercise every day you can improve this ability.

 

The last but important too

Get physical exercise. If you are a green people you already ride a bike at the University. Then you have halfway.  Doing exercise is good for concentration because you have to pay much attention to the exercise you are doing. If you do something wrong it can cause damage to your health. When you are riding a bike you have to concentrate more on the streets, on the pedal, the brakes.

 

Besides you can do other things that can help you like learn how to play piano, study new languages, do a gardening or pottering course. the option to you improve are so numerous. Take these exercises and make a schedule of them. You can take two or three exercises a day and do it. But don’t forget you have to do it every day if you don’t do it you don’t improve your concentration ability.
